David Garrett
Youth Worker
|
David has lived in the Sevenoaks area for 25 years, but after years of voluntary youth work and being Kemsing’s butcher, he’s now a full time youth worker. SAYT and Vine Evangelical Church [VEC] share his time, skills, contacts, talents and wacky ideas. Young people love being around David - he’s always on their wavelength: great fun, a great listener who can challenge & support young people. They trust him, love his crazy ideas and know he is passionate about working with young people - the ‘real deal’ ...
David’s long suffering wife Liz is a trained counsellor, and they have 2 boys: Simeon who does YWAM mission work in the Philippines and Aaron who loves drumming, comedy and Subway. |

Joyce Dungan
Deacon/Discipleship and Care Coordinator
|
Joyce is a member of the leadership team and also works for the Church coordinating the group work and leading the pastoral care team. She has a background as a Health Care Professional and a Counsellor. Joyce loves to walk alongside people as they move forward into a deeper relationship with God.
She is married with two sons. She loves gardening, the natural world, animals (especially her three loony Maine Coon cats) music, elephant jokes and swimming. Her dislikes include shopping (unless it’s for plants!) cooking and radishes! |

Penny Walsh
Deacon
|
Penny is a member of the leadership team and is responsible for the running of the Alpha courses that take place at various times throughout the year. She helps on the Cafe style team and is also on the Premises team who are responsible for the fabric/look of the building.
She has a heart for sharing Jesus with those who haven’t met Him yet and to show that having a Christian faith is not an outdated concept but is still relevant and revolutionary even in today’s culture.
She is a full time mum and wife and has two sons. Originally from Aberdeen in Scotland, Penny and her family have lived in London and then Sevenoaks for almost 8 years. She loves music, movies, hanging out with friends and family, eating out, walking, holidays and shopping! |
