We meet at 10.30am for our Sunday Service.
The service ends by midday, and tea and coffee are then served. The service and preaching programme coordinator is our pastor, Glenn Walsh.
When we gather on a Sunday, we come to worship in song, to pray, to listen to the Bible read and taught, to remember the Cross, to learn, to share and to grow. Our desire is that we encounter the living God and leave changed in some way by that encounter.
Our Style
Sung worship is not the ‘warm-up, it’s the real thing. When we praise God in song, we want to use our voices and the words of the songs to honour Him, to celebrate Him and to invite Him. Different people form a small music group each week to lead us. Our style is mainly contemporary though we use a mixture of new and older songs.
Our main concern is that people worship God in spirit and truth (John 4:23) and that their hearts are given to God. It’s not about perfect music; it’s about losing ourselves in the wonder of being part of our Creator’s family.
The values that we seek to encourage are:
· Celebration: We long to celebrate the love of God and the love of our church family.
· Devotion: We want to experience an intimacy with God made possible through the Son, enjoyed by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
· Participation: We encourage people to come to serve, to tell their story, to share. We value participation over excellence, only wanting to give our best for the One who gave His all for us.
· Transformation: This happens as we experience God’s manifest presence through His Holy Spirit. We come with willing hearts to be changed by our interaction with each other and with God, and by what we learn from the Bible.
